Wonder...

I can't believe how quickly January is slipping by. It seems as though the new year just started. It can't possibly be approaching the second month (and I haven't even posted about Baby A's first Christmas)! This shot is of her checking out the Christmas display at the downtown Macy's. Baby A had a blast, and she got to check out that Santa man a second time.

9 Months

Baby A turned 9 months old on Christmas (but we had to take the pictures on the 26th, because she was far too tired by the time we got home Christmas night).

As of her checkup today, Baby A is 18 lbs, 11 oz and 28.75 inches long. She's a tall and skinny baby (but still with such a cute little belly). She's moved up to a lot of 12 month clothes, especially in pants, but she still wears onsies and dresses that are 6 to 9 and 6 to 12 months.

Baby A still loves her wooden blocks, and rubber duckies. She also has a few toys that make noise that are really fun. And the water bottle with popcorn seeds inside is a total hit.

While she's not crawling yet, Baby A still finds ways to get around. She turns herself all around, and pushes backwards on the hard wood floors. She'll dive after things that get away from her, stretching her whole body out to try to get it.

As I was leaving day care one morning in early December, Miss J was holding Baby A, and Baby A waved goodbye. It was a day that I had to work all day, and it made me a little sad to see her waving. Now she waves constantly. She hasn't quite figured out the appropriate times, but it sure is cute.

This month Baby A has continued defining her personality. I'm afraid she may have a bit (or maybe a whole lot) of her mom's stubborness. She knows what she wants (and what she does not want) and she lets everybody know about it!).
These next photos probably best represent Baby A this month. Yes, she has entered E's dreaded squeeling phase. She squeels when she's happy, upset, bored and any other time she sees fit. And it is SO LOUD.
